*Rainforest Partnership’s first project is in the community of Chipaota in the Peruvian Amazon. It reduces deforestation by allowing our partner community to sustainably harvest its principal cash crop, the fiber of the piassaba palm, ensuring a sustainable income base for local families while protecting their forest.
All proceeds from this event will fund our project in Chipaota and help over 160 families protect their forest.

Rainforest Partnership is a new Austin-based nonprofit. We link Latin American communities that live in and around rainforests with communities in the U.S. Deforestation contributes over 20% of annual greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. By supporting alternative, sustainable income sources, we make it more valuable for our partner communities to keep their forests standing.
