We have set up a natural reserve in the Orinoco River basin of Vichada, Colombia. It is called Reserva Natural La Pedregoza. When all is said and done we will have protected 10 square kilometers of riparian rain forest and morichals (heavily treed savanna drainage creeks). We are looking for funding partners for a tropical tree seed collection program, conservation and preservation of native trees species, native tree planting programs for expanded wildlife habitat, an interpretive center and an endangered river turtle egg hatchery.
